King Show Lambs started in 1998 when Kenny and Jill decided on two market lambs as 4-H projects for their two oldest children. Kenny grew up on a dairy farm and was raised in 4-H showing cattle. Being 4th generation 4-Hers, he wanted his children to have a similar experience themselves raising, showing and breeding their own 4-H projects. Over the past several years, Kenny, Jill and their eleven children have worked hard to build up their flock of 25 high quality black-faced ewes. Their son, Donald has remained involved and contributed to the genetic base of the flock by purchases of Miller Hampshire bred rams. The goal is to produce competitive market lambs as well as sheep that can go on to be efficient and productive breeding pieces.

 In 2020, their son David & his wife Alyssa started their own flock of sheep purchasing 50 mature ewes from Hancock Hampshires along with ewes from Miller & Impact Hampshires. Similar genetics to the ones his family has been using over the years to build their flock.

Moving forward, both flocks will work together as King Show Lambs to continue producing productive lambs in the show ring and in the barn. The flocks are located just 15 minutes apart on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Let us know if we can help you with your show or breeding needs.
